Your imported iTunes playlists can now be viewed here. Now swipe to the left-most tab to see your Playlists. Swipe in from the left to open the sidebar, and choose Your Music. These will use the local file, so make sure you don’t delete those if you still want to be able to listen to them.įinally, open the Spotify Mobile app on your smartphone. If you want, you can drag your chosen playlist out of the iTunes folder into the main playlists area. Go to File > Import Playlists and select iTunes from the list.Īll of your static iTunes playlists will now be shown as Spotify playlists, in their own iTunes folder. It’ll contain all the tracks that were within the playlist at the time you created it-obviously if the smart playlist updates in future these changes will not be reflected in the static one.
Looking into using iTunes2Spotify but I don't trust it and an unlimited version isn't free.A static playlist will now be created with the same name as the smart one. Using TuneMyMusic but it doesn't recognise playlists, only the library. Exporting the playlists from iTunes (tab-delimited TXT files), using Excel to convert those to comma-delimited CSV files, and using Soundiiz's free plan to convert and migrate those to my Spotify account but it matches against Spotify's database, not the local files, so there's a load of obscure songs missing. Using Spotify version 1.0.73.345 (obtained from - digital signature verified) but it (1) imported from the really old file iTunes Music Library.xml and didn't recognise the new, current file iTunes Library.xml. However, I have 16 playlists with 1,781 songs spread over them and, according to, Spotify removed the function to import playlists from iTunes around February 2018 to improve it (WTF). Apple Music still doesn't have a web player. Apple Music doesn't integrate with anything properly or at all, last.fm most notably where the iOS app has been massively duplicating Apple Music scrobbles for over a year with no end in sight. Spotify can't upload to a cloud but can upload to other devices (by using the playlist download feature) and actually does so for the entire song. 
iTunes still can't upload more than ~30 seconds of a custom song / music file to iCloud Music Library. I'd like to migrate from Apple Music to Spotify because:
